Frost in May?
May 11th, 2020If you are in the landscape business, you have to expect surprises from the weather. And, lo and behold, the Saint Louis area got a big surprise during Mother’s Day weekend. Friday night-Saturday morning the temperatures dropped to 35 degrees and Sunday night-Monday morning the temperatures hit 34 degrees with quite a bit of frost. On top of that, winds over the weekend peaked at over 30 miles per hour. SFP Landscaping targets the first week of May as the time to start installing beautiful flowering annuals at client properties and this year was no exception. So, what happens when our tender seasonal flowers are going to get frozen? As you can see from these pictures, we cover the flowers to protect them. Our crews do such a careful job in everything they do, but we wanted to share with you how nicely they covered these flower beds along Highway 64-40. We have now uncovered them and they look as good as new. By the way, did you notice how beautiful the turf is? Customers can always count on SFP for high quality work.
