Snow Season Coming to An End

The popularity of our snow warning email to all customers has received very favorable comments.  Our clients really appreciate our communication regarding expected conditions and our plans or pre-treatment and treatment. We try to wait until the very end before the storm starts, but still soon enough for a heads up.  Quite a few customers have commented on enjoying the bantering between Jeremy and myself …. they said we reminded them of “that friendly old couple we know”.  You have to get along like a married couple when you’re looking at forecasting radars at 1:00 in the morning.  Sadly, Jeremy enjoys doing just that and it makes for a very lively one sided conversation that starts out with – “Hey Tom, come look at the pretty colors swirling on the computer screen”.  Some nights I just want to go play in traffic.

This has also been a very safe season for our employees, which is our highest priority.  Required attendance at our weekly safety meetings have contributed to the safety record we enjoy and add to the overall success of our company.

This snow season appears to be winding down.  But what a difference a year makes!  The first snow event day of last season was November 15, 2014 and ended 35 events later, on March 2, 2015. Compare those dates to this snow season and we find the first snow event wasn’t even in 2015, but on January 9 of this year, and there have been only 12 event days so far.  This winter will be known as the snow season where the season ended and everyone’s budget had money left in it.
